4. You should also try to exercise more than normal. If you usually work out three times a week, go for seven. I know you will be tired, but the best way to lose weight quickly is by working out.
A tip on exercising. Studies have actually proven that shorter workout sessions burn more calories. If you are really trying to lose 10 lbs a week try to break up your 40 minute sessions into four 10 minute programs or two 20 minute programs.
